Elephant Cafe, Livingstone

The Elephant Cafe opened on the 6th of July 2016, and is accessible from Livingstone. The restaurant sits twenty-four guests. and pre-booking is essential. Guests have the option of arriving at the restaurant via jet boat from destinations further down river. Over time the cafe will offer fine dining experiences through the day, beginning with a sunrise excursion and a three-course lunch. The food is prepared using fresh local ingredients, with a strong focus on wild edibles (menus will change with the seasons). Guests will have the privilege of interacting with the elephants, and watching them as they dine.
 
The Cafe:
Various meal options are available from early morning breakfast to three-course lunches, decadent high teas and a three course dinner.

-Bookings must be made 24 hours in advance.
-Bookings must be made prior to activity, however drinks are payable via cash or credit card on the day.
-Please notify the Cafe in advance of any dietary requirements.
-Menus are subject to change with season.
-The Cafe seats a maximum of 24 guests.
 

Guests can arrive by speedboat or road transfer:

Speedboat - The boat departs from David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa jetty (or Royal Livingstone on request), the boat ride takes approximately 20 minutes and may take longer if wildlife is spotted so that the driver / guide can stop for clients to enjoy the sighting. The boat stops at an Island just upriver from Zambezi Elephant Trails, clients will need to walk across the (very small) island and onto a waiting pontoon for the final river trip to the Café.

Road Transfers - from Livingstone town / lodges takes approximately 20 – 30 minutes times vary slightly depending on where clients are staying and how many pick-ups there are on the day.

-Road Transfer / Elephant Interaction / Elephant Café - 2 client’s minimum, 24 client’s maximum.
